3.3 Searching for Waypoints

Overview

In the previous section we constructed a search corridor composed of 7 sectors for our illustration route PACD to PAVD, using departure and arrival waypoints WETSI and OLLEO. In this section we will populate the search corridor with enroute waypoints.

The search for waypoints is achieved as follows:

Inspecting the results, we see that 137 waypoints were found in the corridor:

Note that the process places WETSI and OLLEO at the bottom of the dataframe. 

In the previous section we created a .kml in order to inspect our results. If we add a loop in that .kml exporter to include these waypoints, we get this result:
